Booth, John (attrib.), Biographical Notes on Sir John Franklin (Typescript copy PST/44 held at the NMM. Booth was married to Franklin’s sister Hannah, and brother of John’s boyhood friend, William Henry Booth. These notes appear to be a typed extract from the longer Cracroft/Booth ms q.v.

Cracroft, Sofia, A manuscript history of the Franklin family, (T3746/L/36/2, Public Records Office of Northern Ireland). Sincere thanks to Brian Watson of Family Ulster who copied it for me. The document appears to have been at least in part originally written or dictated by John Booth q.v., since in several places it refers to ‘the author (J Booth)’. He died in 1854.
